Charm’s, love of music, began in her teen years in Vancouver where she hung out with classically trained musicians, whose music interests included jazz, blues, opera and big band music. Influenced by these talented musicians, for over 30 years Charm only listened to CBC when all the station played was classical, jazz, blues, opera and many from the big band era such as Earl Bostic, and Tommy Dorsey.

Charm wrote her first songs approximately 30 years ago, including a blues genre compilation that is currently in studio production, with an expected release date of late August of this year – 2026.

One interesting note is that while Charm was surrounded by incredible musicians at an impressionable age, up until January 2026 she had no musical training whatsoever, yet as of June 2026 she has written 27 songs.

Charm’s musical authorship includes jazz, blues, southern rock, folk music, and cultural beats as well. Charm will be producing 3-4 EPs within the coming year, and continues to write songs covering love, loss, joy, pain, and healing energy shifts, with humour and bratty lyrics occasionally infused within her songs to keep things interesting, and to remind us all to not take life too seriously.
